Assistant Quantity Surveyor
My client is looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the active team and work on a variety of projects in Barton-Upon-Hamber. Your role as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects and work alongside the Quantity Surveyor to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget, and to the highest quality.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
- Subcontractor procurement;
- Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
- Projecting cost and value to completion;
- Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
- Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
- Recording and agreement of contract variations;
- Agreement of Final Accounts.
The Person
The qualities we are looking for in a Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in related field
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
